According to the statistics, one in four seven to ten year olds own a mobile phone. Sir William also expressed his feelings about mobile phone masts being located near schools. The article also talks about a study which took part in Sweden. This study found that using a mobile phone for 10 years or more increases the chance of developing ear tumours by 25%. These statistics are absolutely staggering. The article then closes with the thought that parents should consider all the positive and negative outcomes that may occur with the purchase of a mobile phone.

This is an ongoing debate and it is hard to choose a particular side but i do feel that it is a controversial issue when it comes to children and technology.

ReplyDeleteI don't agree at all with young children having mobile phones. Why would a 4 year old even need a mobile for emergencies,as they're always with an adult anyway. It's just not right especially if there's a chance it can be damaging to a childs health.
